Аннотация
Статья посвящена исследованию функционирования оценочной лексики в американском политическом дискурсе XX – начала XXI веков, которая была отмечена в официальных выступлениях президентов США. Обосновывается необходимость исследования языковых средств, которые повышают перлокутивный эффект речи президента. Определены функции, которые выполняет оценочная лексика в ритуальном жанре президентских выступлений в XX – начале XXI веков.
